It’s coming to Christmas and your baking friends have probably already been busy baking Christmas cookies or rolling Christmas chocolates. Perhaps there are also beginners in baking among you who may not have that much experience in the kitchen. So just before Christmas we thought we’d share a very simple recipe with you.
We have a recipe for tasty Christmas cookies for you, that only three ingredients needed. Can you imagine that? We wish you all the best with your baking!
And if you have any questions or suggestions or ideas, please send us an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
- 250 g whole wheat or spelled flour (freshly ground with your Salzburg flour mill )
- 90 g whole cane sugar (or an alternative sweetener)
- 150 g butter (or alternatively margarine)
First put the whole wheat flour with the sugar (or another sweetener) in a bowl. Then add the (cold) butter (or margarine) piece by piece and knead with a dough hook. Then knead briefly with your hands until a homogeneous dough is formed. If the dough is too crumbly, you can also add a little water.
Now chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Meanwhile, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Before you take the dough out of the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 170 ° C top and bottom heat.
Now roll out the dough piece by piece (not too thin) and cut out shapes. Spread the Christmas cookies on the baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes. Then let it cool down really well. If you like, sprinkle with icing sugar, decorate with sugar sticks or cover with melted chocolate. Enjoy the wonderful Christmas cookies!
We wish you a Merry Christmas!
All love and good,
the team of the Salzburg grain mills
