The mill for connoisseurs and experts!

The mill for highest demands!

Are you a large family with a lot of flour needs?

  • You don’t want to wait long for the amount of flour you need?
  • You also want to grind all hard grains like rice, corn, soybeans etc. in larger quantities?
  • Do you value natural materials?
  • Are you looking for a grain mill with a powerful special industrial motor that grinds gently at low speed?
  • You want a mill that still has an appealing look despite its size?
  • Are you an absolute mill freak and looking for that “special” mill?

……then you have found the right mill with the MT 18 grain mill!
With a grinding capacity of 270 to 500 g of flour per minute, this mill is always used when a lot of flour needs to be at hand quickly.

The hopper of the grain mill is made of solid beech wood and is only treated on the outside with organic beeswax oil.

The grain mill housing, which is exposed to the heat of the motor, is glued in a complex process from thin layers of beech wood in an offset manner. This gives it its round shape and resistance to the high temperature fluctuations to which this housing is subjected during grinding and subsequent cooling of the appliance.
All internal wooden parts are intentionally spared from any varnish substances and solvents so that the wood retains its natural ability to breathe and absorb. Only the outside of thecase is protected with organic beeswax.
That is love for natural materials!

The grinding chamber is determined by 2 main components:

The ROUGH fine adjustment – a thread made of stainless steel
The inner grinding chamber made of wood

Both components give the flour mill its special feature – strength and durability!
The stainless steel thread (at the same time outer stainless steel chamber)
For decades, steel was used as the material for the adjustment thread. This high-quality and robust adjustment system became known for its exact millstone guidance and is highly appreciated by technicians and mill connoisseurs today. In 2015, the tried and tested steel thread was replaced by a stainless steel thread.
A special feature of this design is the dissipation of the engine heat: steel is known to be an excellent heat conductor and prevents heat build-up.

The wooden inner chamber:
As a logical consequence, the inner grinding chamber is made of wood and the stainless steel flour outlet is carefully covered with wood on the inside. The wooden inner chamber ensures that the flour retains its valuable ingredients unchanged. All inner wooden parts are spared from any varnish substances and solvents. The freshly milled flour only comes into contact with hard, untreated beech wood, except for the millstone and the stone carrier. Wood is known to be antistatic and antibacterial!
That’s love of lasting value!

Thecoarse-fine setting: The high quality of the Salzburger Grain Mill MT 18 is guaranteed, among other things, by the proven, robust steel thread. With this, the desired flour fineness can always, over decades, be precisely set millimetre by millimetre by simply turning it.

The heart of the mill is the 12 cm granite millstone, which was created in nature.
Granite is natural-pure, without any binder, proven durable, hard and self-sharpening. Especially when the production of finest flour for the most difficult baked goods is required, this millstone convinces with the finest, baking-friendly flour. It is almost impossible for stone particles to break off when the mill is used for its intended purpose. Small stones that are found in the grain could simply be ground up. This provides a high level of protection for your teeth.
The powerful 900 watt special industrial motor works pleasantly quiet and is completely maintenance-free.
Thick winding wires with the best possible insulation make the motor particularly robust and durable. With integrated winding protection

All types of grain, but also rice, corn, soybeans, chickpeas, etc. are processed in the best possible way.

Salzburger grain mills guarantee high-quality production in the mill manufactory in Salzburgerland, which has been known for over 40 years, with a love of detail and natural materials.
