Salzburg Grain Mill MAX Oak
The cost-effective alternative to the Salzburg Grain Mill MT 5!
The Grain Mill Maxstands for maximum development in terms of technology and design – a development over decades.
The Grain Mill Max grinds all conventional types of grain such as wheat, rye, spelt, barley, buckwheat, etc. Without any effort, you can use the Mill Max to produce the grist you need for your breakfast muesli.
Note for allergy sufferers:If you want to switch to a gluten-free diet, for example, and are looking for a mill that grinds especially hard grains, whether large or small, then the Mill Max SPECIAL is right for you.
The difference between the Grain Mills MT 5 and Max lies mainly in the design!
- The Grain Mill Max is designed for lovers of modern, smooth lines – with the same high quality of wood – and for those who prefer angular shapes.
- The Grain Mill MT 5 is the round classic one in a much higher priced version due to it’s round design and parts made of stainless steel.
Milling with natural granite stones:
Since the beginning of time, people have ground grain with natural stones. Granite is renowned for its durability, hardness and self-sharpening properties. This is what we consciously demonstrate through the warranty we offer.
Granite is nature in its purest form – without any bonding agent.
Impurities, such as pebbles that might be in your grain, are easily ground up by the granite stones. We are not aware of any stone particles breaking out and then getting into your flour.
Granite millstones therefore protect your teeth.
The FOOD grain is ground as naturally as possible with BIO granite stones.
Baking with flour ground on a natural stone is a real experience! Crispy breads, fragrant cakes and pastries reward the miller for his work.
Healthy cereal for breakfast?
Self-ground grain provides the precious foundation of a nutrient-rich breakfast.
is always manufactured from solid beech wood, as beech wood best meets the high demands.
The grain rubs against walls inside the milling chamber. That is why we do not use plastics in this part of the mill (except for the stone supports).
We deliberately favour beech wood, as this wood has been proven to be best suited in regards to
- and durability
over the decades.
Unlike plastics, wood has antistatic and antibacterial properties.
The coarse-fine adjustment
is remarkably easy to operate with just one hand!
You can easily change from FINE to COARSE or from COARSE to FINE during the milling process by turning the knob.
In contrast to a thread, the fineness of the flour is adjusted by raising and lowering the lower millstone.
This lifting and lowering system, similar to the clutch of a vehicle, changes the distance between the millstones and thus the degree of fineness of the flour.
The millstones are placed precisely parallel and flat on top of each other for decades and produce the finest flour.
This technically sophisticated system has proven its worth over decades.
In line with our philosophy, we do not use commonly available threads made of plastic.
The 360 watt industrial drive unit
is manufactured in Europe (not in China). It is dimensioned more powerful than needed and completely maintenance-free. The drives are durable and protected against overload. They are precisely matched to the size of the millstones.
The mill does not require any specific maintenance.
To clean the mill from time to time, it can be opened with the help of a Phillips screwdriver.
Baking with a natural stone flour is a real experience! Crispy breads, fragrant cakes and pastries reward the miller for his work.
There are things between heaven and earth,
which cannot be explained and which still exists. So it is with the flour of the natural stone. How could we explain the baking behavior in a highly scientific way? Hardly possible! But you can believe us that old, experienced bakers have tasted this flour with the following Statement, in good Austrian:
Des is hoid no a Mö! (in High German: That’s just another flour!)
