Which types of grain can be processed?
The quantities of flour given here refer to “bread fine” milled flour from cereals such as wheat, rye, spelt, etc.
Depending on the fineness, the amount of flour per minute decreases. Also note,
that the amount of flour to be milled may be reduced when milling hard cereals.

❌ You are thus damaging the mill
1 Kamut is extremely hard. A lot of heat is generated during grinding and thus condensate. You should therefore only grind Kamut in very small quantities (depending on the type of mill). Reach into the flour – if it is too hot, switch off the mill and ventilate the grinding chamber after grinding.
Depending on the fineness, you can grind the following quantities:
- MAX special approx. 250 grams
- MT 12 approx. 500 grams
- MT 18 approx. 750 grams
- We ask you to point out the use of Kamut when ordering a mill.
2 Corn: There are many different types of corn. The common edible corn in Austria and Germany is not a problem for the marked mills. But especially in Italy there are very old varieties, particularly oily and hard, some of which we know you can’t grind. Unfortunately, we cannot test and list all types of maize.
3Naked oats: Can be ground very fine for bread. However, the finest flour is not advisable.
4Hard wheat: High heat development. Can be ground up to one kilo very well bread.
