Which types of grain can be processed with which type of grain mill?

* Hard wheat
There are many different types of wheat. Soft species are mainly used for baking. Hard species are often used for semolina (grit)
Not every mill model is suitable for grinding the very hard cereals.
Please let us know if you want to grind especially hard varieties.
- Red hard winter wheat
- white hard winter wheat
- Kamut is also one of the very hard-to-grind wheat varieties.
What you cannot process:
In general no grains with an oil content can be processed. For example:
- flax seeds,
- mustard seeds,
- sunflower seeds,
- poppy and pumpkin seeds,
We do not recommend grinding coffee. The colour and smell will penetrate into the mill-stone, making cleaning very difficult. If you only wish to grind coffee, please contact us.
Due to the consistency you cannot process:
- small woods,
- dried small fruits and berries,
- various seeds
