Berti’s delicious wholemeal buns

It’s Berti, your mouse for the latest gossip. Today I want to inaugurate you into the delicious recipe of wholemeal buns. I just had a huge mice hunger and simply made myself healthy wholemeal buns. Hmmm they were so yummy. And here is the recipe:

Berti’s delicious wholemeal buns

First, I liquidate one cube of yeast with a teaspoon of honey in 300ml warm water. After that, I added 600g wholemeal flour with a pinch of salt and a dash of milk to the mixture of honey, yeast and water and kneader a dough. A good alternative to wholemeal flour would be spelt- or rye flour, which you can use for the buns as well.



After you kneaded the dough, you need to let it rise a little bit. While it is rising, you should knead it one more time before baking.

I preheated the oven on 230°C. Then I formed 15 middle size buns out of the dough. I spread a little bit of milk on top and put it for 20 minutes in the oven.

As the buns were finish, I couldn’t wait until they cooled down and I finally could eat them. Hmmm that was a mouse feast.
